I have put together the TOP 8 FAQ QUESTIONS I get about My Yoga Teacher
Trainings (YTTs).
Scroll down to clear up some of the doubts you might be having..
1. How do I know if I am ready to take a YTT?
If you're asking yourself this question, it's very likely you are ready!
If you want to:
-Deepen your yoga practice
-Dedicate time to your self-growth
-Learn about the philosophy and history of Yoga
-Meet like minded individuals and
-Challenge yourself physically and mentally....then you're ready for this training!
2. I'm not sure I'll be able to commit to the time...
I've designed the course to work around your life.
It's on a Tuesday 6pm- 9pm and Sunday 9am-4pm. There will also be some fantastic Online content which you can do in your own time plus a weekend immersion to allow you to dive deep and cover 40 hours all at once.
I've had full time workers, single Mums, pregnant students and people driving 1 hour plus to attend and they've all made it work.
3. Do I have to be advanced or flexible to take YTT?
A YTT is all about learning! Whatever level you are in, we got you covered. You DO NOT need to be able to do inversions or arm balances to qualify. Just have respect and dedication for your OWN Yoga practice.
4. How many students are there in a training?
I like to keep the groups intimate so that everyone can get the attention and time and space they need to learn. My largest group has been 16 students and I always ensure everyone has an opportunity to shine.
5. How can I afford it?
A YTT is an investment in your health, your career, your mindset and your connection to Yoga. But I understand it can take some financial management to make it possible...
Here are some ways you make it more affordable: early bird discounts (paid a month before YTT starts) and payment plans which can be personalised for you.
6. But I have kids!
So do I! I've made the hours to suit around family and work arrangements but I'm always understanding if you ned to nick out for a breastfeed or have your kid sitting with an iPad/colouring in in the corner. Not to mention, by doing this for yourself, you will be able to offer so much more perspective, patience and presence to your family once you've filled up your own cup! #parenthoodrocks
7. What if I don't want to teach afterwards?
That's totally fine, YTT is all about supporting your growth both personally and professionally. What you choose to do with that is completely up to you.
8. "But I'm too old/busy/scared/injured (insert limiting self belief here)"
How's that story working out for you? ;-)
YTT is for every body from every walk of life. I've had Grandparents, pregnant Mums, blokey blokes, people with English as a second language and people recovering from significant injuries.
Everyone has brought their own unique perspective and deepened the experience for all.
It's easy to disguise fear as practicality
Don't let fear of the unknown prevent you from pursuing your dream.
